- Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 premieres July 31 on Prime Video.

Batman: Caped Crusader is set to deliver a fresh take on its iconic characters in its upcoming second season, premiering on Prime Video this July 31. Showrunners are intentionally avoiding repetition, resulting in unique interpretations of villains like Harley Quinn and the Penguin.
Roxy Rocket, originally a stuntwoman-turned-robber, is radically reimagined by voice actress Wunmi Mosaku and showrunner James Tucker. This new iteration features a steampunk design and a tragic backstory, adding layers of mystery and anger to the character. Tucker aimed for a "creepier" feel, drawing inspiration from figures like chemist Jack Parsons and the sci-fi hero Commando Cody.
The show also teases a new version of the Joker, influenced by silent films and German expressionism. This Joker will be less bombastic and more stoic, a departure from typical portrayals. Creators plan a slow reveal for the character, building suspense for fans.
Season 2 aims to further develop Batman himself, voiced by Hamish Linklater, by integrating him more closely with the supporting cast. The new batch of 10 episodes will gradually explore Bruce Wayne's character, allowing him to show empathy and reassess his single-minded approach.
