Recent reports suggest a significant casting shift for Matt Reeves' The Batman: Part II. Sebastian Stan, long rumored to play Harvey Dent, is now believed to be portraying the villain Victor Zsasz. This character, known for marking his skin for each victim, has not appeared in a major film before.
Brian Tyree Henry, whose involvement was confirmed earlier, is now reportedly slated to play Harvey Dent. This casting would follow in the footsteps of Billy Dee Williams and Aaron Eckhart, who have previously portrayed the character. Filming for The Batman: Part II is currently in progress at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, with additional shooting planned for London and Liverpool. The film is set to premiere on October 1, 2027.
The production is proceeding with a returning cast that includes Robert Pattinson as Batman. Director Matt Reeves has previously described the sequel as a serial killer mystery, with speculation pointing to the involvement of the Court of Owls. The script was co-written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin.
