Barry Manilow Previews New Album with '2026' Track

Barry Manilow released "Another Life - 2026" on May 8, 2026, a newly recorded version of a 1992 track. This marks the final preview from his upcoming album, "What a Time," due June 5, 2026. The album features almost entirely original material, his first such collection in nearly 15 years.

Co-written by Andrew Hill and Preston Sturges, "Another Life - 2026" delves into the emotions of former lovers after a breakup. Manilow, now in his 80s and having recently undergone surgery for lung cancer, imbues the song with profound personal resonance. He first recorded the track for his 1992 box set, which reached No. 33 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

The release follows Manilow's appearance on April 23, 2026, at a New York City gala to receive the President's Award for his advertising work. "What a Time" is his 33rd studio album, with the lead single "Once Before I Go" reaching No. 25 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

Manilow plans to tour extensively in 2026 following his recovery. The album features collaborations with notable artists like Babyface and Dave Cobb.
