Barbie Ferreira will not reprise her role as Kat Hernandez in the third season of HBO's hit series, Euphoria. The actress confirmed her absence, clarifying that the decision for Kat not to appear in season three was mutual between herself and the show's producers. Ferreira stated that she felt she had concluded her journey with the character after two seasons and that it was best to end her involvement there.

During a 2025 interview, Ferreira addressed speculation that she had left the show due to creative differences or had walked off set. She firmly denied these claims, explaining that such rumors were untrue and that her departure was amicable. Ferreira expressed her love for the show and the character of Kat, emphasizing that she did not want to overstay her welcome and potentially 'ruin a good thing.'

Despite her departure from Euphoria, Ferreira remains on good terms with her former castmates, including Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, and Maude Apatow. She has reportedly seen them since her exit and they continue to support each other's projects.
