Banksy's Rhino Car Find: A Family's Surprise
6 Mar
Summary
- A Nissan Micra was sought for a Banksy exhibition recreation.
- The car's owner was unaware of its artistic destiny.
- The exhibition honors Banksy's "The Rhino" street art.
An ordinary Nissan Micra has been transformed into a centerpiece for a major art exhibition, "The Mystery of Banksy - A Genius Mind." Promoters Events Cartel located the specific vehicle just weeks before the UK debut of the international exhibition. The "Rhino" piece, one of Banksy's series revealed in London in the summer of 2024, is being recreated using this particular car.
Matilda, the car's owner, initially found the request unusual, particularly the need for the car to be non-operational. She will have the opportunity to see the completed artwork featuring the painted rhinoceros on the car, expressing excitement to be involved. The exhibition, while an homage to Banksy, features works not officially authorized due to the artist's anonymous status.
