Twenty years after her debut as a contestant, Bani J has returned to MTV's Roadies, this time as a Gang Leader for the REBIRTH season. Her journey with the franchise began in 2006 as an 18-year-old contestant, ultimately becoming the first runner-up. She later transitioned to hosting the show, becoming the only former contestant to hold that position.
Now, Bani joins the 'NewGs' team as a leader in Roadies REBIRTH, which features an 'OGs versus NewGs' format. She will lead alongside Abhishek Malhan and Baseer Ali, competing against veteran Gang Leaders Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia, and Prince Narula. This season holds a unique significance as Nikhil Chinapa was part of Bani's initial audition panel.
Reflecting on her return, Bani expressed excitement about mentoring and forming a strong gang. She noted how both she and the show have evolved, making her new role as a Gang Leader an interesting experience. Bani emphasized that being a Roadie requires mental resilience and adaptability, not just physical strength, and looks forward to the unpredictability of the OGs versus NewGs dynamic.
