Indian rapper Badshah candidly shared that his purchase of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, valued at approximately Rs 12.45 crore on-road in Mumbai, was an impulsive decision.
He confessed in a recent interview that the excitement of owning the luxury vehicle, which places him among an elite group of owners, faded quickly, lasting only about 10 to 15 minutes.
Badshah expressed a desire to own the best technology available, including top-tier vehicles. He stated that if his house were on fire, he would save the car, humorously adding he would then have to live in it.
Despite his affinity for luxury, the artist acknowledged being mindful of costs and values his relationships significantly more than material possessions. He also noted he never discloses the actual prices of his luxury watches to his parents.
Before his music career, Badshah worked as a civil engineer. He recalled a poignant question he posed to an IAS officer at age 23, questioning societal perceptions of wealth among government employees versus businessmen and athletes.
