23 Mar
Summary
- James McCoy Taylor arrested for probation violation due to unpaid fines.
- Taylor previously pleaded guilty to assault and unlawful restraint.

James McCoy Taylor, known for his appearance on "The Bachelorette," was arrested on Friday, March 21, 2026. This arrest occurred after his probation was revoked by the court on February 17, 2026. The revocation was due to his apparent failure to pay court-mandated fines in full.
Taylor was charged in April 2024 with assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint. He had pleaded guilty to these charges and received a sentence of 18 months of probation, 80 hours of community service, a $750 fine, and $350 in court costs.
He was ordered to complete anger management, have no contact with the victim, and avoid the Northgate Entertainment District. Taylor still owes $300 of his $1,184 in fines. He was previously arrested in September 2022 for driving while intoxicated and unlawful weapon possession.
Taylor was released on a $10,000 surety bond on the same day as his recent arrest. He has previously denied wrongdoing regarding the assault charges.
