Bachelorette Season Pulled After DV Allegations Surface
23 Apr
Summary
- ABC canceled The Bachelorette season 22 due to domestic violence allegations.
- Taylor Nolan faced legal scrutiny but charges were later dropped.
- Production for Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 5 will resume.

ABC recently pulled season 22 of The Bachelorette, starring Taylor Nolan, just before its scheduled premiere. This decision followed the surfacing of footage depicting a domestic violence incident involving Nolan and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, which occurred in 2023. Nolan had previously pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault in relation to this incident, with other charges being dismissed.
While police departments investigated Nolan in connection with two additional alleged domestic violence disputes with Mortensen, the Salt Lake City District Attorney's Office declined to press charges earlier this month after reviewing the evidence. Despite this development, the status of Nolan's Bachelorette season remains undecided, with ABC not currently planning to air it.
However, Nolan is expected to return to production for season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which had previously paused filming due to an alleged incident in February. A source indicated that while Nolan's return is expected, it is unclear if she will resume filming this year. Mortensen will not be involved in the show moving forward.
