Birdie James Hoying, the infant daughter of Pentatonix founding member Scott Hoying and his husband Mark, has officially debuted as a recording artist. Her first sounds, captured on an iPhone on the day she was born, are featured on the couple's new children's album, 'Little Birdie's Big Symphony,' set for release on August 20, 2026. This 10-track album draws inspiration from the Hoyings' new parenthood.
The album seamlessly weaves Birdie's inaugural vocalizations into tracks like 'Welcome Home' and 'Hello, My Baby Birdie!', where she is credited as a featured artist. This release follows the couple's 2025 album, 'M.Y. F.A.M.I.L.Y.', and signifies a deeper connection between their personal lives and musical endeavors.
'Little Birdie's Big Symphony' includes collaborations with artists holding personal significance to Scott and Mark. Trout Fishing in America appears on 'The Flamingo Song,' a duo Scott discovered at age six, fulfilling a childhood dream. Christina Perri lends her voice to 'Landslide,' a song Scott first sang to Birdie, and Kina Grannis contributes to 'Lullaby (Close Your Eyes).'
Personal moments are also shared by the Hoyings themselves, with Scott writing 'Dad 2 U' as a letter to Birdie, and 'Pretty Little Baby' featuring Scott's a cappella style and Mark singing in Tagalog to honor their Filipino heritage. The album was produced by Scott Hoying, with orchestration and additional production by Emmy winner Dave Pierce and Grammy nominee A.J. Sealy.
