- Babloo Mukherjee expressed regret over Ekta Kapoor role.
- He hired a secretary for finances, not work.

Actor Babloo Mukherjee recently recounted a career disappointment involving a role in Ekta Kapoor's popular series, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. He revealed that his secretary, Shailesh, inadvertently offered the part of Kamal Agarwal to fellow actor Ali Asgar. Mukherjee had only asked his secretary to recommend Asgar for any suitable roles, as they had befriended each other while working on a previous serial called Chunauti.
Mukherjee explained that he had been called by Ekta Kapoor for a script narration and potential audition for the new series. However, after a specified date passed without contact, he inquired about the status. He was informed that Ali Asgar had been given the role, with his secretary apparently having communicated this to the production. This surprised Mukherjee, as he had explicitly told his secretary to mention Asgar's name wherever he was going.
This misunderstanding resulted in Mukherjee missing the chance to work with Ekta Kapoor, a decision he later regretted. He also shared that he subsequently dismissed his secretary due to the incident. While he and Asgar had been friends during Chunauti, they drifted apart as their careers progressed.
