'Baazigar' Turns 32: Shilpa Shetty Celebrates Iconic Thriller's Legacy

On November 12, 2025, the classic Bollywood thriller 'Baazigar' celebrated its 32nd anniversary. To mark the milestone, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who played a pivotal role in the film, shared an old-school montage of memorable scenes on her Instagram Story.

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, 'Baazigar' was loosely inspired by the 1991 film 'A Kiss Before Dying', which was adapted from Ira Levin's 1953 novel. The 1993 hit not only turned Shah Rukh Khan into an overnight superstar but also earned massive box office success, grossing Rs 150 million worldwide and becoming the fourth-highest-grossing Hindi film of that year.

Recalling her experience of filming one of the movie's most iconic scenes, Shilpa Shetty had earlier shared the challenges of shooting without modern-day technology. Despite the difficulties, the film's gripping storyline, chart-topping music, and the unforgettable performances of its lead cast have cemented 'Baazigar' as a cult classic in Indian cinema.
