'Baahubali: The Epic' Stages Remarkable Comeback, Filmmaker Praised for Visionary Feat

On October 31st, 2025, SS Rajamouli's highly anticipated film 'Baahubali: The Epic' hit theaters. While the movie was expected to take the box office by storm following the festive season, its initial numbers soon began to decline, with the second Friday recording the lowest collection.

However, the second weekend brought some relief, as the movie witnessed a rise in its box office performance. According to the Sacnilk report, on its second Saturday, 'Baahubali: The Epic' minted Rs 68 lakhs, with Rs 4 lakh from Telugu, Rs 12 lakh from Hindi, Rs 13 lakh from Tamil, and Rs 3 lakh from Malayalam. This was a significant improvement from the previous Friday, which saw total earnings of Rs 35 lakh across all languages.

With this, the total net collection of 'Baahubali: The Epic' in India now stands at Rs 31.78 crore. The movie's gross overseas collection is Rs 12.25 crore, bringing the worldwide earnings to Rs 49.8 crore.

Filmmaker Prashanth Neel praised the team behind 'Baahubali: The Epic', writing, "A road needed fixing. So they called a contractor to fix it. The contractor just didn't fix the road; he transformed it into a 16-lane super express highway. That road is called Pan India, and the contractor is S.S. Rajamouli. Congratulations to the entire team of Baahubali for the magnificence, and thank you for dreaming for an entire generation."
