A historic Lincolnshire visitor attraction, Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens in Spalding, will soon be illuminated with a spectacular free light show. Titled "Shifting Perspectives," the event is scheduled for March 20 and 21, running from 18:00 to 21:00 GMT each day. This immersive experience promises an after-dark exploration of light, heritage, and community, offering a unique way to engage with the treasured site.
The light installations, created by artists Squidsoup, will utilize digital light and narrative to highlight often-missed architectural features of Ayscoughfee Hall. Councillor Elizabeth Sneath expressed excitement for the initiative, noting its role in connecting people with historic spaces in fresh ways. The event builds on the success of previous light festivals but features a distinct theme and format this year.
"Shifting Perspectives" is part of the Story Tellers National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) project, supported by Arts Council England. The experience is designed to take approximately one hour, and visitors must book their entry time slots in advance. Organizers emphasize the event's blend of creativity, history, and community, aiming to create a memorable experience for all ages.
