Summary
- Axl Rose kicked the band's drum kit in frustration during a recent show in Argentina
- Technical issues with Rose's in-ear monitor caused the outburst, not the drummer's performance
- Guns N' Roses released a statement explaining the situation and defending the new drummer

In a recent incident, Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose made headlines for kicking the band's drum kit and leaving the stage in frustration during a show in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to a statement released by the group on October 22, 2025, the 63-year-old singer was experiencing technical difficulties with his in-ear monitor, which was only picking up the percussion instead of his full mix.
The band explained that the issue was resolved by the third song, and they went on to have a "great night." They also clarified that Rose's anger was not directed at the group's new drummer, Isaac Carpenter, who joined the band in March after the departure of Frank Ferrer. Guns N' Roses described Carpenter as "top notch" and a "great drummer."
Video footage of the incident shows Rose angrily kicking the drum kit and throwing his microphone before quickly exiting the stage. In the video, he can be heard telling the crowd, "So, I'll just try and wing this," hinting at the technical problems he was facing.
Guns N' Roses is currently in the midst of the Latin American leg of their "Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things Tour," which is set to run through November 8, 2025.
