Emraan Hashmi's "Awarapan 2" has achieved a significant box office milestone, surpassing Rs. 100 crore nett in India. The film reached this coveted club on its sixth day of release, a testament to its strong performance.
This achievement is historic for Emraan Hashmi, as "Awarapan 2" is his first solo film to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark domestically. The sequel's success is fueled by audience nostalgia for the "Awarapan" franchise and a renewed appreciation for Hashmi's star power.
The film enjoyed a powerful opening weekend, collecting Rs. 84.31 crore. Subsequent weekday collections, including Rs. 10.06 crore on Monday and Rs. 5.09 crore on Tuesday, propelled it to Rs. 99.46 crore by its fifth day, setting the stage for the century milestone.
With the Rs. 100 crore mark now firmly in its grasp, "Awarapan 2" has a clear window to maximize its theatrical run. The absence of major releases before August 26, when "Toxic" arrives, provides an opportunity for the film to further bolster its collections.
