Avan Jogia: Almost Fired From Victorious!

Avan Jogia, known for his role as Oliver Beck in the Nickelodeon series Victorious, revealed a critical moment early in the show's run. Jogia confessed that he almost lost his part during the first season. He explained that adjusting to the multi-camera format and the specific comedic rhythm of Victorious was a significant challenge for him.

Coming from a background in traditional drama, Jogia found it difficult to internalize the show's unique tone. He stated that he was told to be "louder and funnier," a direct contrast to the more subtle, internal work he was accustomed to. This initial struggle highlighted the steep learning curve he faced in adapting his acting approach to a comedic, ensemble television setting.
