- Authentic Studios released 'EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert' documentary.
- The studio leverages its owned intellectual property for new content.
- Authentic Brands Group is the world's second-largest IP licensor.

Authentic Studios is expanding its content production ventures, beginning with the release of "EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert" this weekend. This documentary is a direct result of Baz Luhrmann's work on the "Elvis" biopic, during which he discovered unreleased footage and recordings of the iconic musician.
This initiative by Authentic Studios, the production arm of Authentic Brands Group, highlights the company's strategy to leverage its extensive intellectual property. Authentic Brands Group ranks as the second-largest licensor of intellectual property globally, with a portfolio that includes figures like Muhammad Ali and Marilyn Monroe.
Beyond music, Authentic Studios is developing a range of projects. "The Greatest," a bio sports drama featuring Jaalen Best, Giovanni Ribisi, and Omari Hardwick, is currently in production for Prime Video. Additionally, Prime Video is developing a project based on the Barneys New York brand under a new deal with producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
Authentic Studios, established in 2023, comprises four production units: Studio 99, Jersey Legends, Authentic Productions, and SI Studios. President Colin Smeeton noted that the company realized the potential of its IP after experiencing the success of the "Elvis" movie.
While much of its early work has focused on unscripted content, Authentic Studios sees significant opportunities in scripted productions. The company is actively acquiring new IP, aiming for three to four new brands annually, and is selective about its partnerships to ensure alignment with its long-term vision.
