Notable inclusions featured The Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book, Stephanie Alexander's The Cook's Companion, and Nagi Maehashi's RecipeTin Eats: Dinner.
Several esteemed authors, such as Helen Garner and Peter Carey, had multiple entries. The earliest published work, Marcus Clarke's 1874 novel For the Term of His Natural Life, also made the list. The poll's host described the collection as a varied representation of Australian reading habits.
