Australian Singer Dean Lewis Apologizes for Inappropriate Fan Interactions

In a statement released on October 28, 2025, Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis apologized for his behavior towards female fans over the past decade. In recent weeks, several women have come forward on TikTok, sharing screenshots and recordings that appear to show Lewis sexting, flirting, and arranging meet-ups with them.

Lewis acknowledged the accusations, admitting that he has been "flirty with adult women of all different ages" and that "occasionally, that flirting leads to consensual intimate encounters or relationships." However, he emphasized that none of his actions were illegal, stating, "I understand why people are angry and disappointed after learning embarrassing details of intimate, private conversations and relationships I've had with consenting adults."

Moving forward, Lewis said he plans to make "a lot of changes," including enrolling in "intense therapy" to "make better choices and dramatically shift my approach to dating, relationships, and showing greater care to the women in my life." He also promised to formulate "a whole new set of rules" regarding how he engages with fans.

"I know it's too much to ask for grace and forgiveness at this moment, but in time I hope to re-earn the trust of those I've hurt, and do better by those I've disappointed," Lewis wrote.
