Australia Returns Sacred Indian Treasures

Australia has announced the voluntary return of three ancient Indian artifacts to India. These significant cultural items include a ceremonial metal trident depicting Goddess Bhadrakali, and stone idols of Nandi and six-headed Kartikeya. This decision was revealed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-day visit to Australia.

Complementing this gesture, Australia will also see the repatriation of ancestral remains of an Australian First Nations individual from the Government Museum in Chennai. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the reciprocal repatriation as a step towards historical justice, fostering healing and reconciliation between the two nations.
