However, as a geostorm ravages Earth, Athena and Hen's space mission teeters on the edge.
The crew is hit by debris, and fire starts consuming their capsule. Athena tries to ease the situation by opening a hatch, but this leaves them vulnerable as oxygen escapes. The crew then escapes the capsule and enters the space station, where they find the astronauts unconscious after being hit by the debris. Back on Earth, the geostorm is causing havoc in Los Angeles, with debris from space raining down and causing chaos for the citizens. The space crew tries to contact Earth, and their call is eventually patched through to the Nashville dispatch and then to Maddie, a character from the 9-1-1 series.
