- Opportunity for hands-on experience and industry connections
- Contest requires creative Instagram reel to showcase impact

As of October 28th, 2025, the American Pavilion (AmPav) is providing a unique opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to attend the Cannes Film Festival. AmPav, which has been the premier hub for American film professionals and students at Cannes since 1989, is partnering with IndieWire's Future of Filmmaking to offer a full scholarship to its Cannes Student Program.
The Cannes Student Program is designed to immerse participants in the heart of the Croisette, granting them all-access passes to panels, workshops, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. This program aims to provide hands-on experience and facilitate the crucial connections needed to kickstart a career in film.
To enter the "Lights! Cannes! Action!" contest, interested individuals must create a creative Instagram reel (3 minutes maximum) detailing how the Cannes Student Program could influence their lives or, for program alumni, how it has already impacted them. The contest is open to both AmPav alumni and anyone interested in attending Cannes, with the winners set to be announced on December 10th, 2025.
