Asimov's Daughter Praises 'Foundation' Adaptation

Robyn Asimov, daughter of the renowned science fiction writer Isaac Asimov, has shared her positive views on the Apple TV+ adaptation of his "Foundation" novels. As an executive producer for the series, she believes the television adaptation offers significant improvements over her father's original literary works.

In a recent interview, Asimov highlighted the enhanced character development in the TV show. She explained that while her father excelled at storytelling, character depth was not his primary focus, sometimes resulting in flatter characters. She feels that the series successfully brings these characters to life.

Despite Isaac Asimov passing away long before the show's development, his daughter is confident he would have appreciated the adaptation. She stated that he would have been very impressed with how the series has evolved and brought his complex, millennia-spanning narratives into a new medium.
