Elwick Place in Ashford, Kent, is undergoing a significant transformation into a vibrant entertainment and cultural destination. The redevelopment aims to create an all-day space where visitors can seamlessly transition between work, leisure, cinema, and socializing.
The project is scheduled to be completed and open by late summer 2026. It will introduce a range of new attractions including mini golf, golf simulators, interactive darts, batting cages, arcade games, and a live events space. A dedicated workspace will offer flexible options from drop-in desks to private rooms and meeting areas.
Several businesses, including Ashford Cinema, Snap Fitness, and Travelodge, will remain operational throughout the construction period. However, the former sports bar, Matches, has been excluded from the redevelopment plans and will close on March 29th, with staff facing redundancy. The council has provided Matches with a settlement to assist with relocation costs.
