ASCAP Celebrates Trailblazing Women Kehlani, Kali Uchis, and EJAE at Annual Event

On November 12th, 2025, ASCAP will host its 17th annual Women Behind the Music event in Los Angeles, honoring three trailblazing women in the music industry. The honorees this year are Kehlani, Kali Uchis, and EJAE.
Kehlani is a five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter who has earned over 20 gold and platinum RIAA certifications. She has amassed more than 5 billion streams and received five Grammy nominations, including a nod for her fourth full-length album "Crash" and its single "After Hours."
Kali Uchis has also found critical acclaim in recent years, releasing several well-received records. Her 2024 album "Orquídeas" debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and earned nominations for best Latin pop album at the 2025 Grammy awards and best pop vocal album at the Latin Grammys.
EJAE, the singing voice of Rumi in the animated blockbuster "KPop Demon Hunters," played a crucial role in the music and development of the film. She wrote the record-breaking single "Golden," which has topped the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, Billboard Global 200 Chart, and been streamed 700 million times on Spotify.
