SoHo Wedding Opens Art Gallery's Inaugural Exhibit

Pietro Alexander and Sara Maliki recently celebrated their union by marrying in their newly opened art gallery in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. Moments after exchanging vows on May 22, 2026, the gallery unveiled its inaugural exhibition, "The Wedding Show," featuring 14 artists.

The 7,500-square-foot loft space, formerly operated by Alexander's uncle, Brooke Alexander, now serves as both a personal residence and a professional venture for the couple. Maliki, a writer and filmmaker, will oversee cultural programming, while Alexander, an art dealer, manages the gallery.

Their relationship began long-distance between Los Angeles and New York in 2022, with Alexander eventually relocating his business to New York. The couple became engaged in March 2025. The gallery's previous iteration was operated by Brooke Alexander for decades until his passing in 2022.

The wedding ceremony itself was officiated by a friend and saw approximately 200 guests in attendance. Following the ceremony, the gallery doors opened to the public, drawing a large crowd. Guests enjoyed catered food, including Key lime pie instead of traditional cake. The celebration continued late into the night with a vibrant party atmosphere.
