The Lexicon Art Gallery in Delhi is hosting an exhibition titled 'Dvaita /Dualities', curated by India's renowned 'oritecture' genius, Ankon Mitra. This exhibition brings together 12 artists, shining a spotlight on the diverse and vital role materials play in creating avant-garde art. Mitra's own immersive installation, crafted from folded, powder-coated aluminium sheets, explores themes of dualities, process, experimentation, and sustainability, resembling a coiled, intangible form.
Prakash Chandra Chakraborty presents a pair of striking monochrome oil paintings. His work delves into the interconnectivity between humanity and nature, employing anatomical and architectural symbolism. Chakraborty's art invites contemplation on nature's influence and a quest for spirituality, as expressed in his philosophy of synchronizing with natural laws.
Representing ceramic arts, Keshari Nandan Prasad, acclaimed as one of India's finest ceramic artists, displays a large wall mural and three stoneware platters. These pieces, resembling botanical reefs, elevate pottery into sculptural fine art. Prasad's work is characterized by its rustic forms, porosity, and the profound symbolism of earth tones, reflecting a deep connection with his chosen medium.
