Actor Arjun Bijlani was involved in a car accident just a week before the anticipated launch of the Netflix web show Chumbak. The incident occurred while Bijlani was returning from the set of the Indian Game Show, where he had been promoting his upcoming series. Fortunately, the actor and the other occupants of the car were unharmed in the accident.

Chumbak boasts an ensemble cast that includes prominent actors such as Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Helly Shah, and Manasi Parekh. The showrunner, JD Majethia, described the series as a celebration of the "beautiful chaos of nostalgic neighbourhoods where no one needs an invitation to drop by, and neighbours slowly become family."
