The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) is commemorating its 40th anniversary with a special Hall of Fame event. This landmark celebration will be broadcast nationally on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on Thursday, June 11, at 9:15 PM AEST, and again on Saturday, June 13. In a significant shift from tradition, this year's ceremony will induct six distinguished artists: Gurrumul, Jenny Morris, Kate Ceberano, Spiderbait, The Living End, and Vika & Linda.
The ARIA Hall of Fame, established in 1988, has honored numerous Australian music legends over four decades. Past inductees include Dame Joan Sutherland, AC/DC, Kylie Minogue, and INXS. The special event, hosted by Myf Warhurst at Sydney's Carriageworks, will feature performances by several inductees and a tribute to the late Gurrumul. The ceremony is supported by the NSW Government and the Australian Government.
This special event precedes the 2026 ARIA Awards ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, which will be presented at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and stream live on Paramount+. The 2026 ARIA Awards will also be broadcast on Network 10.
