Arasan Shoots Resume: Silambarasan TR & Vetri Maaran Film Back On!

Shooting for the much-awaited Tamil film 'Arasan' has officially resumed, bringing relief to fans of lead actor Silambarasan TR and director Vetri Maaran. Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu shared an update on social media, posting a picture from the sets with the caption "Arasan Back in Action." This signals a significant step forward for the project, which was initially unveiled in September 2025 and began filming that December.

The film, which sees Silambarasan TR in the titular role, is a collaboration that has generated considerable buzz. Its cast includes prominent actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Yogi Babu, and Yogalakshmi. Notably, Samuthirakani and Andrea Jeremiah will reprise their characters from Vetri Maaran's acclaimed film 'Vada Chennai,' adding an intriguing layer of continuity.

'Arasan' also marks the first-time collaboration between Vetri Maaran and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, a pairing that has become a major highlight. A theme song featuring Anirudh's music was previously released in October 2025, further amplifying anticipation for the film's musical score. Cinematography is being handled by R Velraj.
