A new live-action series, 'Crestar and the Knight Stallion,' is bringing a unique superhero duo to the screen, featuring Arab and South Asian protagonists. The project is being developed by Detroit-based Exxodus Pictures and Saudi-American outfit Plot Point 1, blending top talent from Hollywood and the Middle East. This collaboration highlights a growing convergence in the entertainment industry.
The graphic novel franchise, created by Abdallah Jasim and Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, centers on a vigilante and a young Arab-American hero tasked with saving Detroit. The series will explore themes of mentorship and myth colliding with science, as the heroes face an ancient threat aiming to plunge the city into darkness. An Arabic translation of the graphic novels is slated for release in 2026.
Production for the series is set to span both the United States and the Middle East, reflecting a global approach to storytelling. This initiative aims to bridge Western and Eastern sensibilities, with creators positioning themselves at the forefront of future media influence.
