Apple TV Ventures Into Dating With Esther Perel

Apple TV is venturing into the relationship genre with its first-ever dating documentary series, titled 'The Last Person on Earth'. The show features world-famous couples therapist Esther Perel, who previously consulted on Olivia Wilde's film 'The Invite'.

Perel, alongside a team of matchmakers, will bring together couples who seem to have nothing in common. They will then embark on an adventure to a romantic, remote location. The series aims to explore compatibility by challenging assumptions about attraction over its eight episodes.

This new series, commissioned by Apple TV's Europe team and produced by Boldprint Studios, marks a significant expansion for the streamer's documentary offerings. It follows Apple TV's recent move into scripted romance with the acquisition of Rebecca Yarros' novel 'Peculiar Stars'.
