- Net proceeds will benefit the Black Music Action Coalition for equity.

The album 'By Any Means,' a collaboration between Anzie Blue Records and Surf Club, is set to be released on September 25. This multi-generational project draws inspiration from the Paramount Pictures film of the same name.
Featuring Grammy Award-winning legends The Isley Brothers and platinum-selling artist David Kushner on the title track, the album also includes contributions from Brandy, Keb' Mo', and Tone Stith. These artists reinterpret classic songs from the 1960s, originally performed by icons such as Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, and James Brown, aiming to reflect the film's theme of racial disparity.
The majority of the album was recorded in less than a week at the renowned FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Other featured tracks include reimagined versions of Nina Simone's "I Love Your Lovin' Ways" and The Impressions' "Talking About My Baby." The civil rights anthem "We Shall Overcome" has been chosen as the album's second single, with a video premiering September 25.
Grammy-nominated artist Pynk Beard, who also served as the project's musical director, performs "We Shall Overcome." Beard expressed honor in being part of the project, stating, "The lyrics speak to the hope that I think we should all share for this world."
Executive producers for 'By Any Means: The Album' include Hit-Boy and Dr. Blum. Net proceeds from album sales will be donated to the Black Music Action Coalition, supporting their work to advance equity and aid emerging artists and music industry professionals. Future plans include a tour featuring Beard and other album artists.
