Director Anurag Basu has shed light on the production progress of his new film featuring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. He confirmed that shooting has only reached the 45-day mark, dispelling rumors of substantial completion.
The initial schedule for this musical romantic drama took place in Chalsa, within West Bengal's Dooars region, showcasing Kartik Aaryan in a rugged appearance alongside Sreeleela. Filming recently resumed in the picturesque locales of Srinagar and Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir.
Originally slated for a December 2025 release, the film's launch has been postponed. While speculation pointed to a potential clash with Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar,' Basu clarified that this was not the reason for the delay. No new release date has been announced by the makers.
Anurag Basu expressed his eagerness to commence work on his long-planned Kishore Kumar biopic, mentioning that Ranbir Kapoor had previously exited the project, and a new lead is yet to be finalized. Kartik Aaryan is managing multiple film commitments, including 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' and 'Chandu Champion.'
