Hopkins: Time Fades, But Wales Lives On

Eight-time Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins, 88, recently spoke about his mortality and enduring connection to Wales. While he longs to return to his home country, the acclaimed actor acknowledged that his age might limit such visits.

Hopkins, who has lived in the US for over five decades, admitted to not visiting Wales in two years but expressed his love for its streets. He revealed using Google Street View to virtually revisit his childhood neighborhoods, stating his memories of Wales remain powerfully present.

In a surprising turn, Hopkins has released his debut album, 'Life Is A Dream,' featuring compositions spanning six decades. The record serves as a tribute to his Welsh heritage and the Port Talbot cinema where his love for film began.

Reflecting on his journey, the actor, who has been sober for 50 years, noted the importance of living without expectation. He also shared plans for future film projects and a personal ambition to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall next year.
