Actor Anthony Guidera, celebrated for his appearances in "The Godfather Part III" and "Species," passed away on June 6 at the age of 65. His wife, Valarie, confirmed that Guidera had been on life support for approximately three weeks following a sudden collapse on May 11. He had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at their Southern California home.
Doctors were unable to ascertain the exact cause of Guidera's cardiac arrest. Following a prior directive, life support was discontinued, and he died peacefully. His filmography includes nearly 30 projects between 1990 and 2005.
Guidera's acting debut was in Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather Part III" in 1990, where he portrayed a bodyguard. He also appeared in "Armageddon" and "The Rock." His role as Robbie in "Species" earned him an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss alongside co-star Natasha Henstridge in 1996.
Beyond his acting career, Guidera was involved with Astara, a spiritual foundation, where he was known as "Reverend Anthony." He is survived by his wife, Valarie, and their son, Nick.
