Social Media Star Gargiula Makes Broadway Debut

Anthony Gargiula, a social media star with over 8 million followers, is set to make his Broadway debut in the musical & Juliet. He will join the cast as François starting September 15 and perform through December 6. This marks a significant career milestone, fulfilling a childhood dream sparked by his first Broadway show at age 7.

The musical & Juliet offers a fresh perspective on William Shakespeare's tragedy, exploring a version where Juliet chooses life over death. Penned by David West Read, the show is set to a dynamic score featuring chart-topping pop hits from songwriter Max Martin, including songs made famous by artists like Britney Spears and *NSYNC.

Gargiula sees the production's message of self-acceptance and joy as deeply personal. He looks forward to bringing this uplifting story to audiences eight times a week. The show, which premiered in London's West End in 2019, has since been performed in nine countries and launched its first North American tour in fall 2024.

Previously recognized for his "Kitchen Singing Series" and appearances on national television, Gargiula has collaborated with numerous artists and released original music. & Juliet, known for its creative reimagining and Max Martin's music, continues to be a popular production on Broadway, having received nine Tony Award nominations in 2023.
