Founder Varun Rajput revealed that "Dil Ki Aawaaz" was penned in 2016 but was set aside until recently. After nearly nine years, Rajput revived the demo, recognizing its fit for a concept album. He collaborated with Rahul Ram after seeing him perform, feeling Ram's voice perfectly matched the song's theme of intergenerational artistic dialogue.
Prasanna's involvement was secured during the song's arrangement, with Rajput specifically seeking his sarod solos. Rajput considers the collaboration with Ram a full-circle moment, recalling seeing Indian Ocean perform decades ago. This new recording, including video shoots, allowed Rajput to connect with Ram on a deeper, personal level, making the project exceptionally meaningful.
The final version of "Dil Ki Aawaaz" retains Rajput's original vision from 2016 but incorporates a modernized sound. The artists' contributions, including Ram's vocals and Prasanna's sarod, have significantly evolved the song's arrangement and sonic texture from its initial conception.
