Hathaway's Lost Devil Wears Prada 2 Outfit Revealed

Anne Hathaway recently shared her disappointment regarding a favorite outfit from 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' that was ultimately excluded from the final film. Speaking at the sequel's European premiere in London, Hathaway, reprising her role as Andy Sachs, revealed her preferred look was a "Phoebe Philo T-shirt, train thing." She cherished this particular garment but was later informed by director David Frankel that the scene featuring it had been removed. Hathaway had previously been photographed in New York City in July 2025 wearing this distinctive ensemble, which included a white T-shirt with a flowing train, white cropped pants, black sunglasses, and statement accessories. The sequel, which sees Andy as an award-winning investigative journalist working under Miranda Priestly again, resumes nearly two decades after the original.

Despite the disappointment over her favorite outfit being cut, Hathaway has honored the legacy of the first film. She recently appeared on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' wearing the original film's iconic green coat, a choice her stylist noted was a special tribute. The coat was originally sourced by costume designer Patricia Field. Hathaway also reflected on her personal evolution and that of her character since the original 'The Devil Wears Prada' was released in 2006, noting both have become more confident and less focused on pleasing others.
