Ann Magnuson's career began in the late 1970s as a DJ in New York City nightclubs, notably Club 57 and the Mudd Club.
Transitioning to acting, she appeared in films such as "The Hunger" (1983) with David Bowie and "The Night In The Life Of Jimmy Reardon" (1988) alongside River Phoenix.
Magnuson also performed as the lead vocalist for the band Bongwater from 1985 to 1992, after fronting the faux-heavy metal band Vulcan Death Grip in 1987.
Her television work includes a role as Catherine Hughes in the sitcom "Anything But Love" from 1989 to 1992, and later appearances in "Star Trek: Picard" and "The Man In The High Castle."
Magnuson, born in West Virginia, has also been recognized for her one-woman stage show, "Pretty Songs & Ugly Stories," and a cabaret act, "Dueling Harps."
