Anjana Sukhani: Big B's umbrella act showed his greatness

Actress Anjana Sukhani recounted a deeply impactful experience with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan from the early stages of her career. While shooting a commercial for a chocolate brand at the Inorbit Mall parking lot in Malad, Sukhani, then a newcomer, stood in the intense heat while the set was being prepared.

Amitabh Bachchan noticed her discomfort and, without being asked, sent his assistant to provide her with an umbrella and a chair. Sukhani expressed that this act of kindness from someone of Bachchan's immense stature revealed his inherent greatness and thoughtfulness towards a junior artist.

Years later, Sukhani encountered Bachchan again on a flight, where he remembered her and inquired about the advertisement. Their paths later crossed on the sets of the film 'Department'. Reflecting on these encounters, Sukhani stated that having worked in Bachchan's presence has been a significant marker of success in her own career.
