Anil Kapoor recently shared lighthearted insights into his personal life during the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Subedaar. Despite his global stardom, the veteran actor joked that his family keeps him grounded, noting that no one at home considers themselves his fan. Kapoor revealed that his wife, Sunita, often remains unaware of his specific professional commitments, treating him as a regular family member rather than a celebrity. He even admitted with a laugh that he still asks her for cash before heading out to film sets.

Reflecting on their 41-year marriage, Kapoor credited Sunita for making significant sacrifices to support his career. He mentioned that he drew inspiration from his deep bond with his wife to portray certain emotional aspects of his character in Subedaar. While he shares a friendly, peer-like relationship with his daughters, Sonam and Rhea, he explained that his character in the film balances a profound love for family with a fierce dedication to his work and nation.

In the film, Kapoor stars as Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier returning to a home plagued by corruption and illegal sand-mining operations. The story follows his struggle to adapt to a society ruled by intimidation and fear. The conflict centers on his clash with a character named Prince, played by Aditya Rawal. Highlighting the themes of honor and resilience, the trailer features a standout moment where Kapoor’s character asserts that while a soldier can endure a bullet, he cannot tolerate an insult to his dignity. Driven by this sense of duty, the protagonist decides to take a stand against the local hooliganism to restore peace to his community. Subedaar is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video starting March 5, 2026.
