The trailer for Anderson .Paak's directorial debut, "K-Pops!," has been released, offering a glimpse into the Grammy winner's exploration of the K-pop music scene. During his time in Seoul, the musician BJ (.Paak) unexpectedly encounters his long-lost son, Tae Young (Soul Rasheed), who is also striving for fame. The narrative unfolds as they navigate their shared ambition and the complexities of their father-son relationship, bridging cultural divides.
"K-Pops!" was inspired by .Paak's experiences during lockdown and his son's aspirations. The film, co-written by .Paak and Khaila Amazan, features original music by Dem Jointz and .Paak. It will premiere exclusively in AMC theaters on February 27.
