Actress Amy Yasbeck has spoken candidly about the enduring impact of losing her husband, John Ritter, who died on September 11, 2003. Yasbeck, appearing on the Still Here Hollywood podcast, revealed that the concept of 'closure' does not resonate with her experience of grief.
She explained that the pain of Ritter's absence remains a constant part of her life, akin to the influence of the moon on tides. Ritter, aged 54, passed away from an aortic dissection after collapsing on the set of his sitcom, '8 Simple Rules.'
Yasbeck and Ritter, who met in 1990, married in 1999 and had a son together. Following his death, Yasbeck established the John Ritter Foundation of Aortic Health. This organization is dedicated to preventing the suffering caused by aortic dissection.
