Jacob shared touching memories of childhood visits to his grandparents in Michigan, recalling his grandfather's warmth and the activities they shared, such as making walking sticks and canoeing. He highlighted Knight's continued activity, mentioning that he was cleaning muzzleloaders and driving his Corvette just four months before his passing.

Knight, who had a career as a civil and structural engineer for Ford Motor Company for three decades, made occasional appearances on the TLC series. Amy expressed her sorrow in the comments of Jacob's post, reflecting on the many memories and admitting she would miss him dearly.
