Kornél Mundruczó's new film, 'At the Sea,' starring Amy Adams, is set to premiere in competition at the Berlinale. Adams plays Laura, who returns to her Cape Cod home following a drunk-driving accident and subsequent rehab. The narrative follows her challenging process of rebuilding her life, confronting her family, and freeing herself from the shadow of her complex father.
This drama marks Mundruczó's return to major festivals, with previous works earning accolades at Cannes and Venice. Adams, an Oscar nominee, leads a cast including Murray Bartlett, Chloe East, Brett Goldstein, Dan Levy, Jenny Slate, and Rainn Wilson. MK2 Films, known for acclaimed festival films, is handling international sales and co-producing. WME Independent is managing U.S. rights for 'At the Sea.' The film is produced by a team including Alexander Rodnyansky, Aaron Ryder, and Andrew Swett, with Mundruczó and Alex Lebovici also serving as producers. MK2 Films previously worked with Mundruczó on 'The Revolution According to Kamo.'
