Amrish Puri's Son Reveals Actor's Deep Bollywood Friendships

Rajeev Puri, son of the iconic actor Amrish Puri, has unveiled the profound bonds his father shared with many Bollywood luminaries.

He disclosed that Sunny Deol and Ajay Devgn held Amrish Puri in high regard, akin to a father. Rajeev fondly recalled how both actors considered him their dad and maintained a strong emotional connection, often visiting and paying respects at the family home.

Rajeev also shed light on a past professional disagreement, mentioning that his father initially declined to collaborate with Rajinikanth. This refusal stemmed from a perception that the South Indian superstar was 'throwing his weight around.'

However, after an apology from Rajinikanth, the two actors eventually worked together on the film 'Thalapathi,' and Amrish Puri grew to appreciate him, highlighting the actor's capacity for evolving relationships and understanding.

Amrish Puri, who passed away in 2005 at 72, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema with his versatile performances, notably as Mogambo in 'Mr. India' and Mola Ram in 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.'
