Get ready for "The Amazing Race" Season 39, premiering with a two-night event on September 30 and October 1, 2026. This season will transport 13 teams across five continents, with a journey spanning more than 25,000 miles, visiting nine countries and 13 cities.
The race will make its historic first visit to Albania, adding an exotic new destination to the competition. Competitors will also experience challenges such as walking with camels in Morocco and paramotoring in Laos. Back to basics, the teams consist of civilian pairs like siblings, parents and kids, and significant others.
A new strategic twist will be introduced at the start line: all 13 teams will receive an Express Pass. This valuable item must be strategically deployed by the end of leg six, adding a layer of decision-making to the early stages of the competition. Host Phil Keoghan highlighted that this season blends new twists with classic challenges, all for a $1 million prize.
