Amanda Seyfried Stars in Revenge Thriller 'Skinny Dip'

Amanda Seyfried is set to star in and executive produce "Skinny Dip," a new television series adaptation based on Carl Hiaasen's novel, now in development at Amazon's Prime Video. The one-hour dramedy is from "Once Upon a Time" co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, who are also executive producing and writing the series. The project explores themes of murder, vengeance, and the struggle for accountability.

Previously in development at HBO Max, the series found a new home at Prime Video after the streamer secured the package for more than $2 million. Seyfried will portray Joey Perrone, a woman who embarks on a quest for revenge after her husband's alternate anniversary plans unexpectedly endanger her. She partners with a disgraced former police officer to ensure her husband faces consequences.

The production team also includes Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer from Doozer, along with author Carl Hiaasen. While Seyfried is attached, further casting announcements are pending. Horowitz and Kitsis are renowned for creating the successful ABC series "Once Upon a Time" and have extensive experience on shows like "Lost."
